Augmented reality meets Twitter

Flyar uses your webcam to create an augmented reality image where birds fly around tree branches and fly towards you to deliver a message! Birds of different colours indicate the kind of message with Blue indicating normal tweets.

Google Chrome OS (Operating System)

Google have announced that they plan to role out their Microsoft Windows competitor Chrome OS in the second half of 2010. Chrome OS, the tech company says, is a new system that stops users worrying about their computer so they can concentrate on the internet. In the video below, Google argues that the OS will be based around the Chrome web-browser. They say that the web browser has become the most important piece of software on your computer but its operation tends to be based on the early development of the internet.

Lego/Muji Introduce Craft Inspired Toys

Lego and Muji recently released a collaborative toy project in Japan that cleverly merges the personality of each brand. There are 4 different boxed sets available. Each set includes some bricks from Lego and some sheets of colored paper and stencils from Muji. A special hole punch that matches the size of the pins on the Lego bricks can be used to create dimensional characters with the paper cutouts.
